With that said, like Shell noted, for the sale price, you don't have a thing to lose by upgrading and perhaps as you expand your knowledge and realm of productions, one day you might be very glad you jumped on the deal.Tone2 BiFilter Tone2's freebie filter, and what a cracking freebie!.

I could go on, and I couldn't live without the upgrades I have from moving to Producer, but the bottom line is, given your non-pro level, and your specific needs from what I can gather, Producer really isn't a necessary upgrade in your case. As to pianos-something Shell mentions in his write-up-you can get Addictive Keys (a way toned down version, but still the best damned piano sound you'll ever hear) for free. The comping features and such are all the same in Studio and Producer. Tube processing and prochannels aren't necessary for that sort of thing either.

I'm assuming electronic music is mostly using electronic drum sounds, and those are pretty much available anywhere and on any machine in equal quality. With that said, and knowing nothing of Battery4, if you are doing electronic music for video games, you have, imho, very little need to upgrade. The reason I did so was because I do mixing and mastering of "real" instruments, not electronic stuff, and the stuff I write myself is rock/pop/alternative type music, so something like Addictive Drums is great for me to experiment with rhythms and ideas and, if necessary, to use as final tracks.

Possibly comparrible to a good night out :) (for the Pro edition and without the hangover in the morning).ĢBen, it is funny I had Studio for all of about 1 day before I upgraded. I dunno what you spent on your last night out on the town, dinner, bar tab etc.

The 'book' value of the included tools alone, let alone the product (which OK - you already have), far surpass the price being asked. I'd go the 'whole hog' knowing that you got as much as you can (even for a rainy day) at the best possible price. True Pianos Amber - one complete and gorgeous sounding piano AAS - Loung Lizard Vintage Electric Pianos / Strum Acoustic Guitars Nomad Factory Analog Trackbox channel strip Rapture / Dimension Pro fully controllable synths - very good (Z3TA+ 2 may be the 'current' synth but Rapture is still high in my 'go to').

Tone2 Bifilter 2 - full - Stereo filter FX tool This is a complete Tier-A product to emulate 'real' drums / mic arrangement. Melodyne does not step up in this version. Quadcurve EQ Zoom Mode (almost mandatory for Quadcurve EQ) Prochannel is more about ease of workflow and presentation. Prochannel, more modules (Studio is a 'teaser' to ProChannel). Melodyne Essential - pitch tools (entry level) a complete array of quality mix effects including Sonitus (full suite) and Nomad Factory BlueTubes. I found Producer very hard to resist at these prices when I was on Studio - no regrets. Studio is a very good deal on the sale if you can't stretch further financially at this time. That's very subjective You probably don't even 'need' Komplete/Battery for what you're doing but I bet you think they're great :).
